But no matter what kind of outbound mode, it must be inextricably linked with the characteristics of the goods themselves. Therefore, no matter which storage model is adopted, it must pay attention to some basic storage foundations, which are briefly described below.
(1) Store facing the channel
In order to make the items easy to enter and leave the warehouse and easy to move in the warehouse, the basic condition is to store the items facing the aisle.
(2) Arrange storage according to the shape of the item
It is also important to store according to the shape of the item, such as standard push products should be stored on pallets or storage racks.
(3) Arrange storage according to the weight of the item
When arranging the placement, of course, the heavy-duty things should be placed at the bottom, and the light duty things should be placed on the top of the storage racks. Large items that require manual handling are based on waist height. This is an important principle for improving efficiency and ensuring safety.
(4) Stack as high as possible to improve storage efficiency
Effective use of the storage volume should be stacked as high as possible. In order to prevent damage and ensure safety, storage equipment such as storage racks should be used as much as possible.
(5) Arrange storage according to the nature of the items
For fragile items, the first-in, first-out principle should be used as much as possible to speed up the turnover. Due to the diversification and individualization of commodities, the principle of general shortening of service life is very important.
(6) The same variety is stored in the same place
In order to improve work efficiency and storage efficiency, the same or similar items should be stored in the same place. The familiarity of employees with the placement of items in the warehouse directly affects the time of entry and exit. Placing similar items in adjacent places is also an important method of improving efficiency.
(7) Select the location according to the frequency of delivery.
Items with a high frequency of shipment and purchase should be placed near the entrance and exit and easy to operate; items with poor mobility should be placed a little farther from the entrance and exit; seasonal items should be placed in a place based on their seasonal characteristics.
